TechBridgeWorld Interns
Jessica Thurston, Administrative Intern, is a rising senior urban
design and professional writing student with a minor in Hispanic studies at Carnegie
Mellon University. Jessica is interested in projects that unite her primary fields
of study of design and writing, and as such, is excited to begin marketing and website
work in progress at TechBridgeWorld. Particularly intrigued with the notion of raising
awareness about TechBridgeWorld both on Carnegie Mellon's campus and around the city
of Pittsburgh, she hopes to update and create new content to market TechBridgeWorld's
many projects as the important and ground-breaking endeavors that they are. As the
group's summer administrative intern, Jessica will do such marketing work in addition
to program support and event planning for TechBridgeWorld.
Daniel Freeman, Web Intern, is a rising sophomore in CMU's Carnegie
Institute of Technology. Primarily involved with maintaining and updating the
TechBridgeWorld web site, Daniel has seen how powerful the Internet is as a tool for
raising awareness regarding a number of issues. By working with the website, he hopes
to help spread information about TechBridgeWorld not only within the university
community but throughout the global community as a whole.
