The program is designed to be a break-even deal for students.

Roundtrip air fare from Pittsburgh to the work location is paid for.

The consulting partners in the host community provide accommodations and a stipend to cover food and incidentals.

Students are responsible for expenses related to passport application, immunizations, entertainment, excursions, souvenirs, and other living expenses.

Students in past years reported that the covered program costs and daily stipend were sufficient, and they spent their own money mainly on things like souvenirs and scuba diving lessons.

Please note: the student consultants will receive no additional wage or salaries.
