Abstract

What does it take to be personally effective in international development? What skills are necessary to recognize and switch cultural protocols, personal demeanor, and communication styles?

We will ask seasoned professional who regularly live and work across cultures to share what they have learned, often the hard way. What would they advise to those entering international development? How can the TechBridgeWorld initiative best develop our students’ cultural intelligence?
