Presentation Abstract

What are other universities doing in the field of Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICTD)?

At the University of California, Berkeley, a research group called Technology and Infrastructure for Emerging Regions (TIER) is focusing on a variety of computing applications to address challenges in international development. This informal presentation will summarize some of the discussions from the recent TIER workshop organized at UC Berkeley, which was meant to showcase 5 years of TIER's work. This presentation will attempt to draw insights into the field of ICTD in general.
